About the Anti-Ragging Cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell is established to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students. Our institution has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, and we are committed to preventing, identifying, and addressing such issues effectively.

Ragging is a punishable offense as per the directives of the Supreme Court of India and the UGC regulations. The Anti-Ragging Cell actively works to create awareness about the adverse effects of ragging and ensures that students feel secure and empowered to report any incidents.

Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell

  • To eliminate the menace of ragging by promoting a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • To create awareness about the legal consequences and disciplinary actions associated with ragging.
  • To provide a platform for students to report ragging incidents confidentially and without fear.
  • To take swift and impartial action against reported incidents of ragging.
  • To foster a supportive environment where all students feel safe and valued.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Cell

  • Conduct regular awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns on anti-ragging.
  • Monitor and ensure a ragging-free atmosphere on campus, including hostels and common areas.
  • Investigate complaints of ragging and recommend disciplinary actions as per institutional and legal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to handle severe cases, if necessary.
  • Maintain records of anti-ragging initiatives and actions taken.
  • Encourage students to report incidents without hesitation, ensuring complete confidentiality.

Reporting Ragging Incidents

If you witness or experience any form of ragging, please report it immediately. Your identity will remain confidential, and appropriate action will be taken promptly.
